ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Southeastern part of Michigan, just north of Toledo. It became common in this area to cheer for teams like the Cleveland Browns or Detroit Lions, however I went in a different direction and decided to cheer for the New York Jets. Because of how bad the Jets were, I began to explore my love for the entire NFL league in general. I became the guy that could talk NFL at any given moment and knew just about everything going on across the league, which is where I found my passion for talking about football.

At the University of Toledo, I went out and did a number of things. I first worked Live Sports Productions for the university, working the ESPN events on campus. I had the opportunity to work a number of sporting events from football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and more. With the productions, I worked as a camera operator and also as a replay operator.

Aside from the live sports, I was a part of the schools radio station, WXUT 88.3FM for a couple of years now. With the station I co-hosted on a sports talk show called "The Glass City Showdown" where two other guys and myself debate various sports topics for two hours. I also helped different promotional events for the station.

In my last two years of college, I took on a big roll with the university's newscast UT:10 News, where became the Sports Producer/Anchor for the newscast. In this roll I wrote scripts, edit and produce the content, and anchor the sports block. I earned the Bernard F. Judy Scholarship, which recognizes one student from Toledo for their excellence in broadcasting. There are other newscasts with UT:10 where I have anchored and produced the news block as well, including one newscast that won a Touchstone Award from the Press Club of Toledo.

With my current job at KJAM Radio in Madison, SD I host a drive-time morning radio show every morning from 6am-10am and discuss sports and news. Aside from the morning show, I am also responsible for all sports related content on air and on our website, so I write and record sports. I also call play-by-play for the station, calling games for Dakota State University and Madison High School.

I have a passion for sports radio, and I hope that my experiences and work up to this point in my life help me to achieve my dream of being able to talk sports, specifically football, for the rest of my life.
